I'm taking a non-sarcastic approach to my friend Emma's Valentines video when she made a list of all of her favourite things.

Anyway, I know Valentines day was last Saturday, but... Well I've been spending all my free time with my friends and family, because it is FINALLY midterm break!
1. Journals
Really pretty diaries and notebooks decorated with really interesting designs. Most of the diaries from PaperBlank.
2. Tea
I'm Irish, what can I say????
And not that flavoured shite from Starbucks. Real tea. Proper tea. Barry's or Lyons (I don't really mind) plenty of milk and no sugar. Served HOT. Why do people like COLD TEA?!?!
3. Little lights
Y'know, like bedside lamps and fairy lights, even wall hanging lights! I just don't like overhead lighting! I use it as sparingly as possible. I don't really need it with five sets of fairy lights in my room, and two bedside lamps! I just think it creates a better atmosphere.
4. Tins
Nicely decorated tins. I keep them on my bookshelf and hide my stuff in them, not my secret stuff, more like stuff I don't want to be reminded of. They're also useful for keeping old photos and memories. This is of course after you've eaten all the lovely biscuts or whatever sweets came in them! I mean, like just look at this!
5. Old cameras
They. just. look. incredible.
I mean... how can you not?

6. Old Photos
This kind of ties in with no.5 , but I really love photos of where I live from years and years ago. Of places I've been, and what they used to be.
This is a picture of Kilkenny High Street in the 60's. It's stunning, and I love seeing pictures like this.
7. Old Tales and Stories
I love hearing and passing on old stories. Not like the gossip kind! Of course not! I mean like Folklore and Finnscéal. I have a book of Irish Legend's my Mum used to read me and I love rereading them every now-and-again.
8. Throw blankets and cushions
Once again, what can I say? I'm a girl, and I'm very girly, and that involves snuggling up in a blanket with cushions hot chocolate and cookie to watch a RomCom. You can't blame me. Of course fairy lights are needed aswell!

9. Skittles
Is it obvious I'm running out of ideas?? C'mon, the first three ingredients are sugar! For Christmas, my friend gave me just a huge jar of Skittles...
10. Jaffa cakes...
I don't know why so man people hate them, they are the best. My Granny and Granddad would always have them. so now they are my favourite biscut. And before you ask, yes, in my opinion, they are a biscut.
For my 14th birthday, my Mum just made a huge Jaffa Cake as the birthday cake...
Anyway, that concludes my "Things I love" blog post, know you know more about me!
byee!
Muireann x
